The 'app' of all things....

Like any new romance, when the movement started, inexperience was viewed as freshness, tall claims were seen as romantic tales and like Sancho Panza blindly following Don Quixote, the peoples (the use of the word peoples here, is deliberate) of Delhi followed Arvind Kejriwal and his merry men. But the harsh morning light of reality has exposed the flaws that the romance of the night kept hidden, that talking and doing are two different things...
It is a sad awakening.... One hoped that this new movement would instill a sense of decency into a system that was degenerating into pettiness, little realising that juvenile behavior is no alternative...

Bougainvillea....

_MG_0370

One of the most hardy and beautiful flowers are the Bougainvillea. These flowers are called paper flowers. The actual flower of the plant is small and generally white, but each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with the bright colours associated with the plant, including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow. Bougainvillea glabra is sometimes referred to as "paper flower" because the bracts are thin and papery.

What's in a heart and all that jazz...

Life is a funny teacher.... As one moves through life, one comes across concepts like heart ache, heart break, hearts joined in love, etc. As someone who has studied science, the heart is visualised more as a constantly working muscle, without which life, in the normal sense of the word is not possible.
It is only when faced with ones own mortality, does a person realise, that the heart is the centre of the being, of not only the person it belongs to, but for people who matter as well. It is then that one realises that maybe, the heart, our own or those of others, are not objects to be played with .....

Passion in a flower......

It's a pity really.... One need not be gay but one can understand the twin concepts of freedom of choice and freedom of expression. Religion is one thing but human existence is something that transcends religion. Persecuting anyone or for that matter anything in the name of religion, morals and accepted norms of society is hypocritical. Desmond Morris in his book, the Naked Ape has explained the human society and it's aberrations beautifully. I do wish the law makers of this land read it sometime....
